WKRP in Cincinnati: Christmas Clip

I looked far and wide this year and last year for one of WKRP's Christmas episodes. Last year someone had one on you tube and I guess they let them keep it up because of the holiday but soon after it was taken down and hasn't returned. This year I did find this small clip. So here it is for your two minutes and sixteen seconds of enjoyment. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Loni Anderson Poster

In the 1970's the Queen of the poster girls was without a doubt Farrah Fawcett. The one who gave her a run for her money and nearly dethroned Farrah was Loni with this poster.

Need New Space

Does anyone know a site where I can store my photos? Blogger tells me I am close to the limit so I switched to photobucket. Now they are telling me the same. Both sites suggest that I pay for an upgrade but I can't afford that. Does anyone know of a site that gives unlimited space? If not I may have to stop blogging or cut back on all of my blogs.

FM movie trailer

For years I have heard that WKRP was the television version of the movie FM. I have never seen the film but after seeing this trailer it is easy to see how one would get that impression. If it is true I guess Martin Mull had the Dr. Johnny Fever part and Cleavon Little was Venus. Maybe I'll catch it on TV sometime.

Different WKRP in Cincinnati Cast Photo

Well here is a cast photo I have not seen until now. Never knew they did one with a black background.

Channel One with Jan Smithers

Here is the last of the local TV guides from Cincinnati with a cast member of WKRP on the cover. This one is from 1981 with Jan Smithers. Finally the story on the inside cover has to deal with the person on the cover. It briefly tells of Jan's life and career up to that point.

TV Plus Cover July 1980

Here is the second cover from local Cincinnati TV guide covers when the first WKRP series aired. This one features Ohio native Gary Sandy who was Andy Travis on the show. This cover is from the Cincinnati Post newspaper magazine called TV Plus. It is dated July 1980. Along with the cover I have included the back cover where the story is the sorry state of summer television at that time. Cable TV was still in its infancy so there were only 3 networks. That would soon change. Most of the time the networks didn't put new programs on in the summer. If you click on the article and read it you can feel the disgust that the writer has for how the networks handle summer TV. Yes I know most people are outside being active in the summer but when you come in you need something to watch.

Cincinnati Enquirer TV Magazine Cover

Thanks to Booksteve I now have a few local TV Guide covers from Cincinnati newspapers back in the 70's and early 80's. This one didn't have the year on it but it looks to be from 1978 or 1979 from the Cincinnati Enquirer. I have included the Children show highlights for you to see and seeing that one of them is the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries I believe my dating on this cover is correct.

Bailey and Jennifer

In the 70's seeing these two at your doorstep was every boys dream. This looks like it was taken when they shot the episode where they played softball.
