WKRP on Antenna TV

I just saw that WKRP in Cincinnati is coming to Antenna TV. I don't get them but I am happy for you lucky dogs who do.http://www.antennatv.tv/videogallery/68261880/Entertainment/wkrp-is-coming-to-antenna-tv#pl-67486706

Gary Sandy Promo Photo

Here is this photo of Gary Sandy that was a promo when WKRP in Cincinnati was on the air on Monday nights on CBS. You can bid on it to win it on E-Bay.

New WKRP Ad

Here are two ads from 1991 for the new first run syndicated version of WKRP in Cincinnati.

WKRP patch

I saw this patch for a scooter rally at this site.

Different WKRP in Cincinnati Cast Photo

Well here is a cast photo I have not seen until now. Never knew they did one with a black background.

Cincinnati Enquirer TV Magazine Cover

Thanks to Booksteve I now have a few local TV Guide covers from Cincinnati newspapers back in the 70's and early 80's. This one didn't have the year on it but it looks to be from 1978 or 1979 from the Cincinnati Enquirer. I have included the Children show highlights for you to see and seeing that one of them is the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries I believe my dating on this cover is correct.

Steve Carlisle album

Steve Carlisle sang the opening theme song to WKRP in Cincinnati. I saw that on e-bay someone is selling the album he recorded it on. The auction has only 15 hours left so click here if you want to place a bid.

1980 Promos for CBS

Here are some promos for CBS. The first features Loni Anderson and WKRP in Cincinnati. Hey isn't that a young Joe Regalbuto with Loni?

CBS 1979 Promo

Here is a CBS promo from 1979. It showcased their TV shows like "WKRP in Cincinnati" and the big movies they that were coming to their network. Remember when the big movies came to network television first? Now they go there last if they go there at all. They also showcased their new shows. Some of which were forgettable. Remember the show "Flatbush"? I don't either.

WKRP Promo

Every once in awhile I see these promos for the show but usually they are for cities other then Cincinnati. In this case they got local Cincinnati weatherman Pat Berry to advertise the show in...Chicago? Living in the Cincinnati, Ohio viewing area it seems to me that after the show left the network airwaves WKRP was treated badly. I don't recall it ever being shown in reruns on the local stations. Even when the syndicated New WKRP aired they didn't give it a prime spot like 7pm. No that went to game shows. The New WKRP in Cincinnati was shown at MIDNIGHT!!! Since the 1970's WKRP has rarely been seen in Cincinnati. Yet when one of the stars from the show make an appearance in the area they publicize it a lot and treat them like royalty. Go Figure!
Even when the now out of print book, America's Favorite Radio Station: WKRP in Cincinnati by Michael B. Kassel, was published I couldn't find it in local bookstores. I had to go to the internet and have it mailed to me. This show was one of the best promotions this area of the country ever had and it is being treated poorly by us. Shame on you Cincinnati.

Herb's Business Card

I was searching the net for WKRP info and came across this card for the new WKRP In Cincinnati. I suppose it was a promo item for when the syndicated second series went on the air. It would be pretty cool to have Herb Tarlek's business card.
